Considerations for Beach Holidays

Skin cancer is a real concern for all ages of sunbather, so make sure not to overexpose yourself and keep children well covered up. Hi protection suncreams get more important the lighter the skin you have.
Rip Currents and Undertows
Many otherwise seemingly mild mannered seas can have hidden currents and powerful undertows without necessarily having to have massive surf or look too choppy. Make sure to check with the locals before you engage in water activities, and preferably seek lifeguard protected stretches of beach.
Sea Monsters
Check with locals and look for signs before putting a toe in to test the temperature.

  Shark attacks are few and far between each year despite millions of bathers and watersports happening right under the noses of big whitey and his friends, however no need to tempt fate by playing in heavily infested waters.
